Michael Byram
Michael and Carol worked together at the University of Durham on a research project developing cultural studies for advanced language learners in upper secondary education. They have both been involved in teaching and researching foreign language teaching for many years in schools and universities. Other contributors to the book are members of research teams linked to the School of Education in Durham or researchers whose work is in the spirit of developing cultural and linguistic learning as an intergrated whole.
