威廉•罗森是获奖历史著作《查士丁尼的跳蚤：瘟疫、帝国与欧洲的诞生》（Justinian’s Flea: Plague, Empire, and the Birth of Europe）一书的作者，先后在麦克米伦出版公司（Macmillan）、西蒙与舒斯特出版公司（Simon&Schuster）和自由出版社（the Free Press）做编辑和出版人长达25年。目前居住在新泽西州普林斯顿市。
