Kenny Kwok-Kwan Ng
Dr Kenny Ng Kwok-kwan, Assistant Professor in Chinese Language and Literature, obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in English from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Master’s Degree in Chinese and Comparative Literature from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Doctoral Degree in Chinese Literary and Cultural Studies from Harvard University. Prior to joining OUHK, he taught comparative literature, film culture, and cultural studies at HKUST. His book, Li Jieren, Geopoetic Memory, and the Crisis of Writing Chengdu in Revolutionary China has been accepted by Brill for publication in 2015. His research interests include history and politics in literature, the relationships between literary and visual culture, and vernacular literature. His current book-length research project concerns censorship and the politics of visual cultural in Cold War China and Asia.
