早期的各种考证，做起来是不是很boring啊，。。总的来说还行吧
我能说这本书好难读吗？虽然是中华书局的，但是有的翻译还是很难理解。硬着啃下来把作业写了。不是历史的还真没什么人读。
依然是以欧洲为中心的关系史，欧洲部分着墨较多，东方部分，兼述及中国、印度、东南亚和日本，中国篇幅较大而已。翻译一般，许多语句明显不通顺
史料相当丰富，非常扎实的研究专著
虽然涵盖一千多年的交流史，但是作者串联得非常清晰，依照“以利益为导向”的线索展开写作，既有充分的史料和前人观点，也有自己的观点，这才是做学术啊~就是翻译太拖后腿，简直是社科翻译通病
丝绸贸易那一章，汇报的时候为什么不看？
太难读了，但很有东西，作者功力太强。
