大千世界真奇妙，没想到后来成了co-author的co-worker。
二刷。Mark一下：在原先研究基础上将研究方法扩展为“用录像引发多重解释的比较民族志研究方法”（含用录像引发的多重声音的讨论、访谈和历时性的民族志方法），三个国家幼儿教育体系在历经二十年的时空变迁中继承传统与进行变革的方式与过程（经济变化和现代化理论、全球化、明文规定的和约定俗成的理念与实践、时空变化中幼儿园的定位）、幼儿教育工作者在变与不变中各自承受的压力及其应对方式。
三个国家给人的感受截然不同：中国的章节读来总有一种焦虑和迷茫感；日本最为舒缓；而美国章节中繁琐的条条框框看的人非常不耐烦。印象最深的还是讲故事大王里关于“批评”的讨论，难过的是不知道多少中国孩子的自信心（包括我自己）就是被类似的教育方法毁掉的。
录像—每个场景都是无言问题， 不同人的解释—于其中思考自己和他人的文化逻辑。被研究方法首先吸引！ 民族志解释总是和特定时代中的政治，经济相联系，某一方面是否会显得单薄？ 本书注重分析育儿差异的文化原因，并与时代背景结合，关注“人”的互动，且横纵对比分析连续性和变化，应该是很好的民族志调查了。
很难见到电视剧第二部超越第一部，而这本书，我会觉得revisited这一版写得比1989那一版要好。时隔20年，作者重新做了三个国家的preschool的对比，每个国家的change和continuity剖析得非常精彩。得写篇详细的笔记。
