The play is Euripides own treatment of the house of Atreus, his desperate yearning for making amend and repairing for the “tragedies” . Now we see the humane side of Agamemnon, Menelaus’ sentiment towards his brother and niece, and Iphigenia’s god-incarnated nobility and virtue that bring to everyone the ultimate deliverance.
