Angered by the loss of his son in battle, the Earl of Northumberland supports another rebellion against King Henry IV, bringing the country to the brink of civil war. 后半两段独白真是好精彩! Hal捧着王冠连爹都不管就出去了这样的神展开是怎么回事 结尾撵走Falstaff真是写满了欲拒还迎且听下回分解啊!
Falstaff is so underrated. 有他负责世俗、血肉、聒噪、离谱、混不吝，并且本领高强，才能拷问出真正的光荣。语言标尺另一边是Hotspur, 什么都不说，什么都不伪饰。王子则在两端间游荡，享受他的假面，享受现身，而且他知道（我知道），他与低贱的伙伴为伍时也并非全然虚妄，他承重王冠时也并不是绝无动摇。酒保/王公都是盲人摸象，只有Fal真认识他，英勇，冷血，以至能实现局部地自杀。读者最后甚至替Fal不平，面对王子的自反，他竟比王子更忠诚。扯淡开玩笑时一切皆出：God send the companion a better prince. 别了，我的导师，给我混乱的哺育。过往于我只是一门外语。我固然曾走在你们当中，而今我已不同，赶去从事更伟大的骗术，“我应该注定能成。”
