罗伊·波特

罗伊·波特（1946～2002），伦敦大学学院韦尔科姆•特拉斯特（Well come Trust）医学史中心医学社会史荣休教授，毕业于剑桥大学。他是200多本书和众多文章的作者，其中包括《社会医生：托马斯•贝多斯与启蒙运动晚期英国的疾病生意》（Doctor of Society：Thomas Beddoes and the Sick Trade in Late Enlightenment England，1991）；《伦敦：社会史》（London：A Sociaf History，1994）；《“人类的最大利益”：人类医学史》（"The Greatest Benefit to Mankind": A Medical History of Humanity，1997）以及《身体政治：英国的疾病、死亡与医生（1650～1900）》（Bodies Politic: Disease，Death and Doctors in Britain，1650-1900，2001）。合著《贝特莱姆皇家医院史》（The History of Bethlem，1997）。
