只看了intro和前8篇，但两国意识形态什么的不同已或多或少反映了出来。同样是芥川龙之介的短篇小说选集，除了一些精彩至极的必选之作，如rashomon, in a bamboo grove, screen hell, the nose外，中译本还选译了古典气息浓重，特别是取材自中国的部分，如《秋山图》；而英译本则整个第二部分都是些与宗教息息相关的作品，还有些善恶因果论什么的，如loyalty（我真是对这部分很不感兴趣，长期环境造就？）；至于后两部分，没有看也就先不妄论了。不过芥川的才华，和村上的intro都是いちばん的。
