打印的,几个版本的戏本,都对最后的群戏进行了改动,其实目的很简单,让读者对结局和作者的意图产生不一样的理解
街车、动物园、热铁皮这三部剧里,这部是很Williams的,特别是在Brick的身份认同问题上。很有意思的是这部剧的父子关系让我想到Succession;Skipper和Brick的关系让我想到Maurice。看了田纳西的原文之后才知道存在两版Act three, 电影镜头可以把这两个同时呈现,但是电影结尾把tragedy改成了happy ending是影响到整部剧的基调的。就像田纳西自己对于第三幕的说明:哪怕第二幕的对话是如此揭露,如此残酷,我也不相信这能让Brick立刻从疏离和冷漠中走出来。
