虽然熟悉石黑一雄的风tao格lu，中间还是不得不数次停下来给自己做一做心理建设；笔法淡淡但藏了些大招，and at the end you just find your heart aching. 跟Never Let Me Go一样，本来觉得肯定能憋着不哭但还是败了…整个设定比Never Let Me Go要subtle? 但完全不弱，电影剧本请预定。
一开始对Oblong, lifted和Klara总会以很多很多boxes的形式看东西之类的科幻设定感到困惑，后来慢慢sink in了。AF真的太令人心碎了，有时候感觉像家养小精灵，有时候感觉像狗勾，明明很强大但是又很顺从，还可以随意对待随意丢弃，到最后竟然觉得对Klara最好的是the Mother。She deserves her slow fade, so then she faded, alone in the Yard😢.
Tinted with the familiar undertone of mournfullness, I've worried from the start that it may turn unbearably nasty at any moment, say the interaction, or the portrait, even Rick. So glad Ishiguro doesn't let any of that happen. It took me awhile to understand the boxes, then it becomes vivid enough. I am ever more grateful Ishiguro gives us Klara.
本来看完此书第一感觉就是两星，但看到满屏五星让人不禁有些颤巍…我看的和大家看的是一本书吗？为了忠于自己的感受，还是个了这个评价。这本书让我非常失望，虽然算不上石黑一雄的超级粉丝，但从他之前的作品来看我是十分喜欢他并觉得且其作品是非常特别的！然而这部小说仿佛是加长版的儿童读物一般，人物的对白不论男女老少都是一个基调…完全体会不到阅读乐趣之外也无法勘探到故事背后的深度…故事事实上很简单：AF主观感觉的一个主观拯救的故事。多余的支线却平庸化了这个故事。如果这是一部短篇，或许倒是有惊喜。
写博士论文期间的一颗糖。这本很像Never Let Me Go的续篇。石黑一雄在隐忍的叙事下探索人类之间最纤细脆弱的情感联系的能力，真的无人能及，让人泪眼婆娑却并不能真的哭出来。大概人生就是时常游走于灰色地带的一个个无可奈何。主角Klara作为人工智能机器人，除了说话方式有一点奇怪，其他方面都比书中其他人物都更像人类，更敏感、勇敢、无私，但也逃不掉她作为人工智能的宿命。Klara为主人惜命大战机器，科学家要让Klara替代真人活下去，真的是一次又一次模糊了人与人的创造物之间的边界。除了未来世界和人工智能角色的讨论之外，作者似乎意在用这本书触及人类与宇宙关系的讨论，可能是因为时间有限，我没有完全理解他的用意。作者对窗外风景的描写一如既往的美丽而哀伤，而且构成了小说的情感骨架。
原版语言用词都很简单，作者估计是想写给孩子们看，也因此我相信Josie没有去世，虽然Josie和Rick分道扬镳了，虽然Klara被遗弃在the Yard在寿命终结前只能反复回忆整理自己的记忆，但因为她的无私让所有人都能往前走了，这是个略带悲伤的童话。但我会怀念她，看着她坐在开阔的场地上四顾观察，看着她微笑，友好地说“Hello”

【剧透】Ishiguro说他写作的过程中会一直思考自己是否可以给读者留下一些未竟的思绪，这本书确实意想不到地令人感伤。从人工智能的角度理解组成人性的那些概念——“爱”、“陪伴”、“lifted”，却逐渐发现好像全书中最符合理想中“人性”的being是Klara。也许Klara可以解读kindness和unkindness，但是“自私”“自我”始终无法用机器算法转译吧。
不知道怎么说。6.5分吧。
