Shaw radically reworks Ovid's tale with a feminist twist: while Henry Higgins successfully teaches Eliza Doolittle to speak and act like a duchess, she adamantly refuses to be his creation. First produced in 1914, it remains one of Shaw's most popular plays. The Definitive Text under the editorial supervision of Dan H. Laurence With an Introduction by Nicholas Grene

Shaw
看过的是penn state's electronics classics series版本
太厌女了 “the moment that I let a woman make friends with me, she becomes jealous, exacting, suspicious and a damned nuisance… women upset everything.”
Eliza“I am a good girl, I am."
“My idea of a lovable woman is somebody as like you as possible.” boyyyy, you have mommy issues
