美丽的想象，奇妙的比喻
couldn't wait to read it again even before i finished it. need to see a movie be made out of it before i die, not that 1995 one no.
一些部分还不错，Randoph的独白，Zoo的独白，Idabel和小矮人的塑造。死后读不懂了。
Got some trouble comprehending the details, anyway successfully figured out what's going on in the story, the plot is quite clear, and the themes are somewhat vague and strange, interesting is the atmosphere the author set in the book, also the relationship between different characters is subtle and fragile. Truly gothic and mysterious memories.
Intentionally poetic and beautiful. Eerie plots. The author intended to become a star. And il a réussi dès le premier coup.
第一次读还是十三四岁，那个时候读的中文版。卡波特作为作者，能够写一部这样的作品，真的很爽吧，辞藻的美，张扬得很。Randolph的自白太动人，我反复阅读，反复落泪。
2013-04-05 感觉根本没有读懂……书中有很多南方口语，人物的对话还有好多是有错误的英语……好难读。这就是我读了一半就想弃但最后强忍着翻完的书。
充满忧郁和幻想的美
胆怯而神经质的支吾声，零落分散，勉强曲到中段突然灌入连绵好几页的randolph波澜起伏的独白回忆，读得很带劲，紧接着又落回少年人的气短narrative直至结尾。挺美的，虽然对southern gothic不那么感冒。书名尤其美。
整本书就像一个繁复而暧昧的梦境，潜意识小径分叉的废弃花园
