因为是刘朝晖翻译的，所以买了一本，都是一个个看不懂的模型啊。#20200112
从出版到今天，已经不能算是“新”城市科学了，但相对于刻板的城市研究方法，能带来一些启发。
内容很好，但是翻译的很差劲
以网络和流为基础理解城市这个复杂系统，很多模型和数据，非常专业，比那本《规模》难读多了。大概翻翻只记住了一个城市体系位序钟的新方法，提到城市衰落周期加快，从最早200年到现在只有75年左右。曾经在全球城市规模前50名内占据时间最长的城市是中国苏州，超过2000年。

城市研究模型化的努力
书应该不错，奈何公式太多，从始至终将城市所谓一个数学模型，从流到流，实在难懂，理科班抵不过工学的算式，实在吃力
太难读，未来几年可能还要再翻几遍
头两章应该是精华所在。另外，翻译太差，本来很简洁的数学模型，被翻译绕得很晕。
