看了三个月的必读书目，不得不说是真的冗长，妈妈的人物形象塑造的很好，看完之后也确实佩服这样的一个坚强的女性。

文字本身具有雾气状的美感并且是会火的题材，但不是个人感兴趣的主题。
unpopular opinion：不知是作者表达的问题，还是说其实他并没有那么了解他的母亲（当然也可能是我自己的问题），我丝毫感受不到这位母亲的所作所为到底哪里inspirational了？这位白人（犹太）母亲共有12名子女，能在极端恶劣条件下抚养长大这么一大家子谈何容易，更何况这12个黑人混血长大后还都成为了各自领域的人生赢家。Don’t get me wrong, I respect this woman 100% 这故事很励志没有错，但我读到的却几乎全是这位母亲的“情绪不稳定”，以及她是如何一次次拒绝向子女们分享自己过去的。
涉及种族与宗教问题的部分倒是可圈可点「God's not black. He's not white. God is the color of water.」
