Can’t resonate with author maybe because I never lived in American and truly experienced the discrimination. Author is with no exception a idealist and sometimes too idealistic. And maybe due to the culture gap, it makes no sense to me to see a fighting as a kind of greatness. Basically not very enthralling

A coming-of-age memoir by an Asian immigrant kid and future tattoo artist/classicist!! Honest, authentic, and well-written. Relatable and comforting in many unexpected ways. Thanks for the consolation on the first day of school.
