总是在IEOR遇到的教授，可惜没去旁听他的implied volatility smile. （读了1/2，读到他进了GS。后面的内容不再期待，弃了）

A quite enjoyable read. 作者内心自始至终依然是个研究向的物理学家。
作者是哥大金工项目的director，这本书更类似于自传记录？
虽然是life as quant 前半本书都在说物理相关哈哈。但是后面关于从物理转行到金工的部分很真实也很多思考。包括和Fisher共事的部分也从实践角度分析了bsm公式，是非常行业insight的一些文字。很受用。
作者文风轻松幽默，刻画人物白描居多但是也不乏生动。专业部分以后会再慢慢研究。
很喜欢卷首的话，ambitious是来自于对现状的不满。
读过的最好看的一本自传。大约在四五年前读的，到现在还有很多情节印象深刻。
过去的一段故事
理论物理博士转金融的故事，我博士刚毕业开始读的，如今工作一年了，换工作的间隙读完。好多地方感同身受。
