It's now 1943 and their life in Copenhagen is filled with school, food shortages, and the Nazi soldiers marching through town. I came across an account of a young man named Kim Malthe-bruun, who was eventually captured and executed by the Nazis when he was only twenty-one years old. Papa said he had smiled to himself, amused that the German soldier did not know.He listened while the boy answered. "He is our king,"the boy told the soldier."He is the King of Denmark." "Where is his body"

懂為什麼這本書是Newberry Awardee了,it puts you on the edge of seat for the entire ride.
A smoothly told story filled with tension! Annemarie didn't seem brave on the outside, but definitely she was inside!
