写男女的那部分，看得非常艰难。卡森一贯冷静，此处更是冷峻，甚至有刺骨的寒意。有些地方想起张爱玲，很深的凉薄，但卡森更抽离，更釜底抽薪。本体论层面的残酷描写，why am I so utterly alone?
有精细的感知同时可以写得很灵巧，有部分不是很喜欢，但多次感叹真是太能写了，天赋型选手

看得懵懵懂懂，只能读个氛围。水的人类学部分中日本俳句那部分极佳，waterproof，第三部分也很好
通透纯净的字句抵达时间之水的浸没（换成中文大概只得构建空间维度《土的人类学》，即便书中已涉及几乎太多“classical Chinese wisdom”）。
纯粹的甜蜜的阅读感觉。提及caesura和equilibrium的两段都像Hölderlin on Sophocles；Part 5辨析故事是开始还是终结的部分，以及人无法写神的那一句，难道不是"Man forgets himself there because he is wholly in the moment; and God, because he is nothing else than time", 人在时间之水中，其始与终会被倒错。& 是我，奥维德。
