安妮‧米柯萊
1983年生於德國德勒斯登，現為蘇黎世聯邦理工學院（ETH Zurich, DARCH）研究員及博士候選人。2009年獲得瑞士聯邦理工學院（Swiss Federal Institute of Technology）建築學位，曾獲蘇黎世聯邦理工學院的卓越獎學金和機會獎學金、德國學術交流資訊中心獎學金以及數項海外交流獎學金，並曾於坂茂歐洲建築師事務所（Shigeru Ban Architects Europe）及阿迪萊爾珍諾維巴黎設計工作室（Atelier Jean Nouvel in Paris）擔任建築師。其研究探討房地產市場、城市經濟和制度架構不斷變遷下的城市發展。

以NYC SOHO区为主要模型介绍的城市设计书，观点很细致....
看书名以为是讲城市规划，读到发觉是以人的视角去观察城市的规律。看完想再去soho转一转。也可以带着一样的好奇去各个具有城市特色的地方观察他们的特色。
喜欢这种精炼idea的小书
(和我期待的内容有点不一样)...但的确建议看了之后再去SoHo.

Definitely helpful for me (especially reading it before the trip to NY) when understanding societal issues with a spatial focus and how lively streets generate. The most thought-provoking perspective for me is the role of entrance and its position, which is regarded as a point of personal contact and a transfer to the public realm.
从人类活动出发，提供了一种观察城市和构建城市的视角，对自己很有启发。不过很多内容有些重复，可以更简练，或者相互建立联系。感觉略可惜。
