Peter Robin Hiesinger
Peter Robin Hiesinger is professor of neurobiology at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. The Hiesinger Neurogenetics Laboratory conducts and publishes basic research on the genetic basis of brain wiring since 15 years. Hiesinger obtained a PhD in neurogenetics from the University of Freiburg in Germany in 2000 and conducted research at US medical schools until 2015. From 2000-2006 he was a postdoctoral researcher at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. In 2006 he started his research lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was tenured as associate professor in 2012. After more than 14 years in Texas without fast food, without TV, without a gun, and without the right to vote, he currently teaches and runs his lab in Berlin.
