Alexandre Matheron is former Professor of Philosophy at the Ecole normale supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud and the CNRS. He is the author of Monstrosity and Philosophy: Radical Otherness in Greek and Latin Culture (Edinburgh University Press, 2019), The Political Philosophy of Niccolo Machiavelli (Edinburgh University Press, 2015) and Conflict, Power and Multitude in Machiavelli and Spinoza (Continuum Press, 2009).
