RongRong & inri:Tui-Transfiguration is a 285+ page, cloth-bound survey of the photographs of Chinese photographer RongRong and his partner (now wife) inri, a Japanese phtographer now living in China. Featuring both the early solo works by each artist before they met in 2000 and their performance-based collaborations of the last 4 years, the book is both remarkable in terms of the breadth and quality of the images and insightful in terms of the text written for the book by University of Chicago professor, Wu Hung - co-curator of the ground-breaking New York exhibition Between Past and Future, which is on tour at major venues in the US and Europe until 2006. Their collaborative works were also recently featured in large-format photograph form at the 2004 Shanghai Biennale.
