This volume about light, colours and the elements (which have always constituted the basis for Storaro's research), contains his reflections about his career in cinematography, after more than 30 years experience, including accounts of what happens behind the scenes, the secrets and the magic of the man who is probably the world's most important cinematographer. This new publication comes with a DVD, a tribute to the master who accompanies us behind the sets, explains 'live' the tricks of the trade and explains how he incorporates inspiration drawn from the great masters of Italian art in his films. It also offers his spectators a real lesson on film-making, interviews with actors and film directors and clips from his films.
