理查德•谢弗(Richard T. Schaefer),美国芝加哥大学社会学系硕士、博士,德保罗大学社会学教授。著有《种族与族群》和《美国的种族与族群性》等,文章常见诸《美国社会学期刊》、《当代社会学》、《社会学和社会研究》、《社会学教学》等著名学术期刊。谢弗教授拥有35年丰富的教学经验,曾任教于大学、成人教育计划、护士学校,甚至在全美最高戒备的监狱里开设过社会学讲座。
