一个传记系列里的一本 挺好的 最喜欢中途岛和珊瑚岛海战那几章 还有海图
作者的写作方式很有意思，夹杂了出身，成长，家庭等等的不会用流水账的方式来讲。
作战史部分可以作为二战太平洋战争的索引来看，尼米兹早就预测到潜艇在未来海战占有很重要的组成部分。有一定的工程思维，特别是不随便乱干预前线指挥官的指挥简直明智。但是尼米兹确实也对政治没啥兴趣，也能看出二战中美军陆军和海军之间的分歧，其实也和日军差不多。了解了不少有意思的片段，比如哈尔西的战败。
一个好的高级将领必须得是优秀的政治家。
阅读真是要看状态。许久之前入手的这本但当时翻了没几页就弃了，最近疫情在家正好没事干竟然补完了。比起公牛，我更欣赏老尼、斯普鲁恩斯这类儒将，尤其尼米兹。这个系列我还有老隆，正好评分最高也是我最感兴趣的两位都入了，也算幸运。
P.S：2005年版封面跟豆瓣上传的不同，仍沿用原版绿色底老尼半身像，可惜没办法改了。
小学四年级读的——话说我“读过”这本书的时候还没有豆瓣呢……
