被认为是有史以来英文撰写的最伟大的古典占星书籍，作者是17世纪的著名占星家：William Lilly。这是他本人的占星理论阐述最详细的一套书。由于是几百年前的著作，读起来不会太轻松，那时候的语法习惯和现在还是有些差别。而且现在多是翻印版，清晰度也会差一些。当然，这丝毫不影响它的地位。
《基督占星》一共有三册。第一册是古典占星的各类基本知识要点：占星概况、行星、宫位、星座、相位等等；第二册涉及到的卜卦占星知识较多；第三册则包含各类主题：生死、婚姻、父母、子女、健康、财富、身份高低贵贱等等。当然，如果你有信心读下去，这会是学习古典占星的最佳教材。
最重要的还是参考中世纪基督文明对待占星学的态度而非具体的技法，这是欣赏祂创造的天幕之严整、星辰之璨美的过程，其中隐藏的命理的奥秘就如同《圣经》的预言意义，命盘（natal chart）所记载的出生、土地、财富、婚姻、孕育、疾病、寿命已经在行星和相位的影响下庄肃地显现了，正如这首十七世纪的英文诗歌：『Tell them of it, or Natures Myfteries, Tufh, cry them: ignorance they idolize.
