Four Essays : Artist in the Community Scheme

The book highlights the working process of the artists Susan Gogan, Declan Gorman, Ríonach Ní Néill and Rhona Byrne in the projects they undertook in collaboration with a range of communities, including members of Macra Na Feirme; Ballymun Pigeon club, young people and domestic workers in Irish homes.

Each artist has contributed an essay to the publication charting their ways of working and the richness and diversity of the work that emerges when artists and communities collaborate. All projects included in the book have been funded under the Artist in the Community Scheme, which Create manages on behalf of the Arts Council.
