两年前从美国飞回中国的飞机上看着玩的。突然发现它已经被翻译成中文了。随即引来一堆豆瓣上苦大仇深的评论。为什么印度好些好玩的小说和电影到了豆瓣上就都被弄得苦大仇深了？
1，印度真是不一样的国家，和中国相似的是其多层次性；2，题材比较有意思，中国总理又被亲切地称呼小名了；3，他成为企业家那段感觉发展太快；4，结局很现实很惨淡。
细节处展现了资本主义吃人的种种罪状 虚构得过于真实 通向上层的唯一途径是狠心吃人...

A novel about realistic india...
老温：太长，不想看。“I would leave you with one final word. (That’s an old trick I learned from the Great Socialist—just when his audience is yawning, he says ‘one final word’—and then he goes on for two more hours. Ha!)”过于真实，引起不适。翻完来码的时候才发现居然有中译本，并且是陆建德老师作的导读，只能说不愧是他。
相当精彩的故事了，现在对印度的社会结构产生了极大的兴趣，希望最近趁热打铁写点东西！
真实的印度的确让人终身难忘
形式特别的黑色幽默
朗读者：John Lee，三星半。本书应该被归于“谴责小说”一类，这类型在八九十年代的大陆也蛮常见的。它的确揭开了现实血淋淋的一角，但是所有的人物都流于表面化，都是些奇形怪状的丑角，所以最终留给读者的思考余地并不大。不知中译本有没有删掉这句：“这地方只有一个错误——我们摊上了这个倒霉的所谓议会民主制度！不然我们就跟中国一样了。”
