乔恩·克拉森 Jon Klassen 出生于加拿大。他是一位知名的插画家和设计师，曾在梦工厂动画制片公司、莱卡动画公司工作，并为英国广播公司设计2010年在温哥华举办的冬季奥运会广告动画，赢得英国动画奖——影艺学院奖。 2010年，他以Cats' Night Out一书荣获加拿大插画奖Governor General's Award for Illustration。2011年，《我要把我的帽子找回来》是他第一本自写自画的作品，获得2012年Theodor Geisel Award银牌奖，成为童书界最受瞩目的闪亮新星。2013年更以《这不是我的帽子》获得美国凯迪克金奖等共计19项奖项。同年，由他绘图的Extra Yarn（中译名《穿毛衣的小镇》）也拿下美国凯迪克银奖。他成为自凯迪克奖创奖以来（1947年之后），唯一同时拿下金、银奖双料殊荣的作家。
