  • "It was by this time about nine in the morning and the first fog of the season. A great chocolate-coloured pall lowered over heaven, but the wind was continually charging and routing these embattled vapours, so that as the cab crawled from street to street, Mr Utterson beheld a marvelous number of de"
  • "Yet I preferred the elderly and discontented doctor, surrounded by friends and cherishing honest hopes, and bade a resolute farewell to the liberty, the comparative youth, the light step, leaping pulses and secret pleasures, that I had enjoyed in the disguise of Hyde."

I have been made to learn that the doom and burthen of our life is bound for ever on man's shoulders, and when the attempt is made to cast it off, it but returns upon us with more unfamiliar and more awful pressure.
Delicate wording and well-organised structure. The truth is revealed to us in a way like flowers blooming, layer by layer. It’s a good snack to eat.
I see you not so deep in my soul, Mr HIDE.
(1886) R4 adapted by Neil Brand, introduced by David Tennant!
Were the good and evil sides of a man to be so contradictory that could eventually kill him ?
