启发式教学方式,注意阐释量子场论的构造动机,很不错的一本书。 2020.10.15补充:看Peskin的间隙翻到这本书里讲旧式微扰论的那一段,感觉插入这一段非常有创意。我越来越欣赏这本书了。 2020.11.09补充:不区分上下指标这一点让人有点难受。
最后一部分可能之后要用到才读吧。很适合入门,感觉渐渐懂了一点之后就还是条条大路通Weinberg+。+
虽然说griffths的书深度堪比小学科普,然而它的notation还是很棒的,适合培本固元;与之相反,Schwartz的书的notation傻逼得让人走火入魔,直接把武功练岔去。更别说书中表现的语言表达力使人几欲抓狂。能让我对至此对Griffths另眼相看的书也是别无此家了。
非常好的书,直接自学没有问题,由于是最近出的书,有很多有趣的话题。这本书我觉得凡是粒子物理方向的最好都看一下,算是现在最好的场论书。
比 Peskin 讲得不知道高哪里去了。
2021/11/28 不要用它入门,闵氏时空不可以作为不区分上下标的原因。
扣一星其实并非书本身有问题,只是单纯觉得粒子物理真的没啥可做了,序言里的“For the past 35 years, the parade has continued”显得多少有点尬。可是现代物理,你不认真学一次这个,好像教育又缺了点什么。广泛参考市面上流行的,包括温伯格在内的各派qft,如果你的青春只够认真学一次量子场论的话,就走从David Tong讲义,到本书,再到温伯格的路吧,甚至都不必走完。
ohhhhh,newest and the most comprehensive point of views,引用史蒂芬·平克 :写作之难,在于把网状的思考,用树状结构,体现在线性展开的语句里。作者做到了。 从第一句话开始就在织一张逻辑大网,上文公式来源在哪一段,下文又要联系到哪里讲得清清楚楚。 唯一缺点就是需要习惯他不区分上下的求和指标
和Peskin的书大致是相似的,notation也一样,但这本书因为成书更晚所以观点更新,更贴近科研。数学推导相比于Peskin也更加清晰。尤其对做hep-ph的人来说是一本非常合适的学习材料。
