设计不是一切，缺乏设计则是自暴自弃。我在一个没有美感的办公室，写着没有美感的报告。
确实是非常有启发～～看的打印版。。呃。。写作中
文字多可读性强，可是图太老了跟不上现在visualization的形式感⋯⋯只有一页NNN年前的infographic惊为天人，让我好生吐槽大家都用电脑倒着爬了呀⋯⋯！

Tufte 的系列书的一本，介绍了一些糟糕的 visualization 的例子和他自己的观点，这本书还专门花了一章来批评 power point，虽然大部分观点都比较中肯，但是不得不说也有一些强烈的个人偏好在里面。不过作者试图用 visualization 的方法去解决一切问题，特别是有些用数值或者统计分析会更有效的场景有点牵强了。整本书感觉有点零散，像是闲聊，而且这种完全中立话题的书里穿插太多政治立场也让人觉得很不 professional。
前半本很有趣，关于图像的信息和信息的图像，对PP的批判也句句在理，但信息量少得多，pedestals感觉就是为了引出自己作品没有基座而写的。
Evidence is evidence.
不限于数据可视化，而是更广泛的信息可视化，涉及多个领域多种形式（images；sparklines；links and causal arrows; text+image; Napoleon...-principle；5 corruption in evidence presentation；PPT； sculpture pedestals 后两个有些讨论不太认同）。
