"Every woman I have ever loved has left her print upon me, where I loved some invaluable piece of myself apart from me--so different that I had to stretch and grow in order to recognize her. And in that growing, we came to separation, that place where work begins. Another meeting."
There's so much New York City in this book. And Audre Lorde is the best of New York City.
LOL。
Every woman I have ever loved has left her print upon me, where I loved some invaluable piece of myself apart from meso different that I had to stretch and grow in order to recognize her. And in that growing, we came to separation, that place where work begins. Another meeting.
"As a Black lesbian poet ……", which is she usually said. She takes her identity as a poet very seriously. Even though feminism has gone through several iterations and some of her ideas are slightly outdated, the original desire for expression and belief in the power of words is always moving.
