Susan Glaspell created this play based on a true story she covered years ago as a political journalist. In it, men do their duties and "got awful important things on their mind" while women "taking up their time with little things" and "worrying over trifles". Ironically, by overlooking "trifles" men "can't do better" (getting evidence). Sympathy g
