这是一本让我可以一口气熬夜看完,但又舍不得太快看完的书。I am totally attracted and amazed by this collection of supernatural writings by W. B. Yeats.
每晚进入梦乡前时常造访之地。

The Celtic Twilight 必获赫尔德们的高歌称颂,爱尔兰的民族意象被展现得颇为淋漓。叶芝的文字质朴澄明,这种素朴感与他转述的大量爱尔兰人地方口语相混合,珠玉迸溅。在纯粹的文字之美外,值得注意的是他本人倚靠爱尔兰民间传统与英格兰当局对立的情绪,绵里藏针,看似轻尘不惊的神仙故事里往往暗藏着极强的民资气性;此外基督教与多神教的信仰冲突也以一种隐喻的方式进行着,叶芝并不做评判。与《聊斋》没有任何可比性,由知识分子转述的农民故事与农民情感到底与知识分子本身的意淫杜撰枘凿不投。

平平淡淡说故事的语气,有时还挺口语化的。体验到英语语言的简练之美。故事有意思。
