是那类一口气看完，看完愿意花几百刀收本精装的神作。作者相当大师，情节、布局、人物、心理和推理部分无一不出彩，结尾n重逆转精彩到窒息。每章节都有新的暗线和red herrings，附带男主各种闷骚自恋装逼碎碎念和女主强行发糖（？）总之男主是我快乐的源泉哈哈哈
因为各种原因耽搁了许久，大概是几年来时间跨度最长的一本…某种性质上确实和某作品相似，不过玩得无疑更过火。一开始看起来再简单不过的案情描述，绕来绕去到最后呈现出全局崩坏的情况…没啥公平性可言，真得是实验作品…冲着诡计跟推理去看的可以考虑绕道了。话说…写出这种作品来真不是找打的么？
森英俊和小林晋等编译的《世界探偵小説全集》No.2. 四星半.第一本Berkeley作品，一部之前非常流畅，但越往后越复杂的杰作.我发现Berkeley也是个讲故事的高手，而且他的逻辑思维非常令人佩服，我必须全神贯注甚至要做些笔记才能理清后半部的思路.本来我已经隐约猜到故事的真相，但最后的解说也把我给看晕了，潜意识里自己推翻了自己，直到看到了尾章，才发现尽管之前猜的大致方向是正确的，但细节处还是被作者骗过了.考虑到成书时间，本书的意识形态和写作模式确实很超前，推荐阅读
周末两天开全速的结果【等等。。话说薛灵汉感觉有点惨，安东尼柏克莱果然是实验先锋啊，各种诡异的想法，这本的崩坏程度放在现在也是相当可以的，改改名字说是日系新本格都可以，四星保底。
最后崩坏的意外性和合理性稍微打一点折扣，不过还是蛮精彩的
本作的诡计在今天读起来依然很强悍，展现了非常合理又强大的误导。核心手法其实很简单，因为布局精妙导致很难发现这个手法，实在是佩服。除此之外，第一人称叙述还挺难啃的，男主那异常絮叨的心理活动非常劝退，还夹杂大量其他角色与他没完没了的讨论，OMG……我甚至一度在想，都干啥哪，情情爱爱的，都严肃点儿，姆们这儿死了个人啊！
这部作品最有意思的地方在于：通常的推理小说由于读者跟作者之间不可避免的unfare，所以借由设置与读者所知信息等同的侦探来达到某种公平性。但是对于本作所使用的这种完全凭借unfare来完成的诡计，又如何给读者公平感呢？于是，薛灵汉就可怜地成为了“牺牲品”～因为无论读者是否看穿了诡计，薛灵汉是彻底被骗了～本作的诡计设置应该是继承某部名作，但是有很大的创新。plot也是比较复杂的一类，各种真假线索，misleading，很可能被作者绕进去。还有就是犯罪心理刻画也十分出色～ @2014-08-20 22:26:42
看完唯一的感受就是这作家十分的絮叨。写作就像说话一样，东添一句西加一嘴。就没有几个利索的句子。
一群人在minton deeps农场搞了个“余兴节目”，即演出一场设计好的谋杀案，然后让后来的客人来找出凶手。就在一切都按部就班进行的过程中，“我”听到了反常的第二声枪响，然后发现本应扮演死者的Scott-Davis中枪身亡。死者槽点太多导致基本上参与演出的所有人都有杀他的动机，而听到第二声枪响发现死者的“我”成了首要嫌疑人，为了洗清嫌疑“我”不得不求助薛灵汉来侦破此案。本书篇幅很长且前半部分主要是在铺垫所有人的动机，案件分析主要集中在后半部分，所以阅读中数次感觉不流畅。解答依旧是伯克莱擅长的多重解答，但是伪解答过于敷衍，可能是作者为了最后的真解答跟本人懒得对伪解答进行铺垫导致可靠性极差。真解答过于注重意外性，手法非常牵强并且缺乏合理说明，仅为了逆转而逆转，甚至连合理性也至于不顾，难以称好。
