文采不足，但是姐姐死的时候还是哭了。

用词简单却能在人的心里留下很深的痕迹，katie和lynn姊妹情感的描写非常细腻，随着开始时她们的世界里只有对方到搬家后，上学，弟弟出现，两人逐渐产生矛盾并逐渐淡出对方的世界。最后katie拿着lynn的日记在海边散步还希望她还在这里时就知道姊姊还是katie最重要的人，这里我感觉心里好像真的被这个故事刺到了。这本虽然是童书但是呈现出上世纪日裔劳工家庭在usa的辛苦生活，不仅承受着racism 还有贫穷。（不过问题还是很拖沓，光是camp就仔细的写了好几次，所以后半本是略读的）

儿童版岁月神偷。虽然是孩子看的，但是大人看了会很治愈。
读的时候觉得很像岁月神偷。朴实的语言写出来的却是家人的浓浓爱意。有许多细节描写特别有画面感，这是我很喜欢的。
