It is a story between Nick and his teacher Mrs.Granger.Nick is a boy who seems a bit nauty, but actually he is a boy full of creation.
In the epilogue, Nick is a young adult. Mrs. Granger sends him a new copy of the dictionary, including the word frindle. She explains that she intentionally stood against the word to make it more popular. Nick sends back the pen, "This object belongs to Mrs. Lorelei Granger, and she may call it any name she chooses."
