In this companion to Bishop's poetry, making connections between modern art and modern poetry, Bonnie Costello aims to give a sense of the poet and her ways of seeing and writing. Costello also makes use of quotations from Bishop's letters, drafts, journals and occasional prose sketches.

将许多解析串联在了一起，算是比较浩大的工程了，但是对于解析并不是很满意，例如the Armadillo几乎完全围绕aesthetic & moral 来谈的，有点单调
基本把Costello的书都看了一遍，一直反复地围绕mastery去讲（不乏一些老生常谈），对几首诗的分析还蛮细致的，但不是很满意的一点就是每次提到political，都不展开说到底怎么political......（或许这就暗示了我的research gap吧）
有很多诗的细读 并且分类组织在一起 但特别insightful的moment还是有限
