[日]山本常朝 1659年生于日本佐贺藩，是佐贺藩武士山本神右卫门重澄七十岁时所生。九岁时做了藩主锅岛光茂的侍童，后一直忠心侍奉藩主。四十二岁时剃发出家，著述《叶隐闻书》。
