陆续读过好几篇Arthur Brooks的专栏,标题很吸引人,内容也就一般公众号水平。因此这本书出来是抱着找茬火车上打发时间看的,结果前面写情绪拿伊壁鸠鲁跟stoic一分为二,我知道我要换一个读法了,边记笔记边读。情绪管理是沿用Tal Ben-Shahar积极心理学的观点,Happier, No Matter What; 四点是基于哈佛Robert Waldinger教授他们那个团队的研究,social connection,因此重视友谊(useless)的分量,读完理解了为什么Oprah要做这本书。Arthur在《大西洋周刊》的专栏是基于读者群,回到整本书这样的写作氛围,对得起他在校园的几十年研究。每个人都觉得自己知道答案的问题,拿它当作一个值得深究的问题最为恰当,不要急着回答它。
还行 感觉看tim对arthur的那篇访谈就已经足够了 本书更像是对核心内容的扩充。
种草了积极心理学 和“把时间当作朋友”的内容有点类似 讲了情绪是可以主观控制的 metacognition
