我觉得这本书提供的一个全面视角打通了很多零碎的地域工艺，比如看过了中亚各地的经线ikat就再也不会孤立地看待新疆的艾德莱斯绸了，另外也看到了不少19和20世纪欧洲艺术家的灵感源头，比如北非的织物对于马蒂斯的影响等等。
