蛮好的论文集，对理清概念很有用，Abstract Expressionism一篇最好。波洛克给予绘画综合体一种摹仿的生命，“处于绘画时刻的”生命。抽象表现主义者面对着异化日深，再也找不出可以建立联系的实在事物，但结尾引的一段De Kooning很美，“如果我能飞，我可以在过时的日子里碰到那些我想望的星星。但我把物理学家的星星当作纽扣，挂起空虚的窗帘。如果我向身体的其他部分伸出手臂，并思考我的手指在哪——那就是我作为画家所需的全部空间”。那就像是与画框平行从而“站在边缘但没有掉下去”。但是作为结论，未来将如罗塞塔石碑令往昔增密。（看了眼中译很烂

读的中文版，穿插着看了一些英文版的内容。每篇文章都是笔者对现代艺术中某个概念的提纲挈领的理解。直接看有些看不懂，需要对某一形式艺术了解一些后再看才能理解。现代艺术是宣言在前内容在后。在作品产生前，是新的思潮观念。
