读至Act 5里Faustus与Old Man的对话不禁神伤，可谁料他终究是放不开。与其讲此书的主题看做文艺复兴时期对人的潜能、对人对知识追求限度的讨论，我更愿意将它仅仅看做个人性的问题：眼前的一时欢愉与长远的终身追求，所谓的悔恨与好了伤疤忘了疼，悔恨躲闪与英勇就义，舍不得放不下……我们也可能是Dr Faustus。记这段艰难岁月。
