钱学森经常被拿来当作爱国知识分子的典型宣传，但钱的回国，对他这样一个骄傲、孤僻的贵族天才来说，更像是“麦卡锡主义”下的负气出走。
Iris Chang名著之一，好几年前打算看，今天(2022/09/03)开始看，提供了一个视角，Tsein was deported to China(Sept. 17, 1955) 今天看到了神十四顺利返回，Tsien等 一代代科研人为祖国航天事业的贡献
简中删减以外的部分看后 只觉得惟晚节不保四个字浮出了脑海。
在混乱复杂的时代背景下，困顿的个体都难以认清自己，寻求真相就更为困难了。
印象不深刻，不过当年能出国的是数千万中选一。。。
最后一章是点睛之笔
这个就是钱学森传
钱学森在获颁感动中国人物时由妻子转达组委会的一句话，十多年来我依旧没有充分理解。奇怪的是，我从未试图通过了解他的生平来理解他的想法。
这本书出版已近三十年了，其后必定又有更多的资料被披露，甚至有了新的传记。钱学森对理论的痴迷始于中国而造极于美国，他与政府的合作则始于美国而辉煌于中国。对于这样一位在二十世纪的两个大国都有过斐然事业的人物，任何传记都无法描绘其人生的全貌。正因为此，一位不仇华的美籍华人作家的视角才尤具价值。 ps. Interestingly，被中译本删减的第二十五章，对我来说反而是新信息相对最少的。
