So much to love! Viv is an amazing mystery heroin. A book about the dangers girls and women face in world: you might be called a spinster at age of 24; you can be called a slut after disappearing; you can get killed, and the murmurs in town would say, she deserved it. All of this happens no matter how polite you are and how much you smile.

代入感有点强，尤其是这段时间一直跟进杭州纵火案的新闻，有些超自然现象的地方有时听着吓人… 80年代的女主好强啊，尤其是跟踪的几个片段紧张到冒汗…17年的故事女主也很强，但是幸好身边有室友和男同胞，不然我感觉我不敢看了，两个故事同样都这么惊险的话感觉心脏承受不了…哈哈哈
…80年代和现在双线故事最后相交很自然 最后面渐渐闪现的其他几个女性主义很惊喜～女性受害者完美论，以及整个故事里，女性，尤其是独身女性要面对的安全问题社会偏见等等问题，完完整整道出了大众女性的心声啊…

故事讲述2017年的年青女主来到某小镇，在一家破旧的motel里当前台，为的是探访寻找她从未谋面的姨妈——她的姨妈20岁时从这家motel里离奇失踪，那是在1982年。
故事的构思与叙事都完成得不错，在2017与1982两条时间线上来回转换，一张一合，互有呼应，很有吸引力。
最喜欢的是它的“社会派推理”属性，不是那种精怪奇巧的悬疑，也不是那种惊天动地的悬疑，而是日常可见的、距离现实生活并不遥远的案件。
最感动的是小说结尾闪现出的女性主义光泽（涉及剧透，不多说），整个悬疑设定很让我意外，由于意外，便更是猝不及防地打动人心。

悬疑+鬼魂+青春三合一，Viv单独调查案件有几个场景还不错，听得手心冒汗，反观Carly的线就弱很多也没什么意思，3星半吧。
比起carly更喜欢viv
就喜欢这种时空交错但又互相关联的故事，另外从80年代的viv, marny和Alma，也能看出当时女性的困境啊。
221207应该是不会再读它了。弃。211201嗯？就完全没有吸引到我的点。。。看的时机不对，要是早几个月，在还没有听这么多书的2021年初听到，应该还是可以听下去的，但是，到了快要年末的时候再听，就觉得，完全，没有，新鲜感了呢，都是，一样的情节呢！

游泳池里撞到头淹死的小男孩鬼魂到底是什么梗最后也没说，最后那晚发生了什么也没说清楚…抽烟的前台老头怎么死的也没说清楚，要说是thriller真的是不太行
尤其记得那句“ I‘m not going anywhere”的绝地fansha。
