虽然政治家治史总给人一种不可信和偏见，但就我的阅读经历而已，我认为丘吉尔是在客观地重述历史。无论如何，文明都感谢这位在至暗时刻挺身而出的英雄

‘To show how easily the tragedy of WW2 could have been prevented; how the malice of the wicked was reinforced by the weakness of the virtuous’. 二战中丘吉尔简直是个“裱糊匠”，竭力维护英国摇摇欲坠的帝国余晖。只可惜，英国还是成为’ sort of American missile base with no real power’(from JM Hacker). 如张伯伦、墨索里尼，傲慢、嫉妒、焦躁、懦弱、贪婪，不一而足。我们肆意指摘前人的不足，却对如今的当轴者歌功颂德，现实总是无比荒谬。
