The Ashram and Mom那篇温暖哭 “Because going through a hard life with someone else is better than going through an easy life alone.”
本打算直接去图书馆啃刑诉为此连爪机都没带，可天气实在太好了出门时又手欠带上这本，最后竟在英院树影下一鼓作气from cover to cover（连Acknowledgement都看了，是的他感谢了Mia和安娜）其间玩了会儿奶牛纹的猫。幽默小品看得少，之前猛补伍迪艾伦就好像紧急征用评价维度迅速建立“experienced humorist”的形象。从小粉红到打嗝他的确进步了，驾驭的题材也拓宽了。看history、dating和language三个部分尤其能感受到和老爷子的相似，那种ridiculously profound and profoundly ridiculous的劲儿实在让读者心情复杂，不过总觉得还是欠一丢丢稳重自信。总之加油啦。
不是那种浅显的幽默，有些梗甚至需要点时间来反映，但是很有智慧，不是小聪明，而是智慧，杰西除了演戏以外，写书完全不输啊。
看完后就好想给Jesse一个拥抱（。

在卷西的世界里连Jesus Christ都是个话唠。每一篇都超有创意，带着一些丧丧的幽默感，都是很有趣的小文章。还是最喜欢《吃鲷鱼使我打嗝》，九岁小男孩眼里满是成年人的酸涩。
很有卷老师絮絮叨叨的风格。好喜欢restaurant reviews 的部分That’s why I’m giving it 4 out of 5:)
