好久没有遇到能让自己落泪的书了，是一本情节集中，故事详尽且温暖的书，家庭生活和历史背景的衔接可谓是棒极了，不会觉得乏味，好喜欢里面的uncle D，总是对penny说Hi, my princess 。哇塞，整个世界都美好起来哇。
作者很会照顾读者情绪，才蓄好的眼泪下一秒就被笑带走了。喜欢这样能在悲伤里加很多幽默调味料的作者。读的时候大概分成了两段，今天早上是笑着合上书的，傍晚是泪痕还在脸上哈哈，若是没看书只经历这样的情绪过山车，路人会觉得奇怪极了吧，哈哈我喜欢这种奇怪。我觉得读两遍，下次照顾词语表达。
这位作者，文风幽默，也很感人。

Penny在爸爸去世前叫Barbara,她爸爸喜欢Penny From Heaven这首歌，后来她就成了Penny。她的爸爸是意大利裔，妈妈是美国人。因为二战的特殊原因，爸爸拥有一台短波收音机想要收听喜欢的球赛，成为FBI眼里的间谍，最后死在监狱。小Penny在平凡的生活下，拥有Frankie的友情，暑期打零工，生日收到礼物，唯独没有爸爸的任何消息。直到一次事故后，她在医院里偶然听到了爸爸的信息。在她的追问下，她知道了爸爸的故事。一次经历，一次成长，小Penny长大了，她没有怪罪任何人，而是选择理解，选择宽容地生活下去，所有的烦恼都迎刃而解。也是收获良多的童书，让我知道民主的美国也不过是为了自己的政治需求去民主。
好书。对于孩子不清楚，反正对于成年人来说不会是一本无聊的书。或许因为故事是建立在亲人的经历之上，每个人物都很可爱，很温暖（不过关于妈妈和Frankie的人物塑造我觉得还差点力度）。关于亲人的一切也好，生活也好，友情也好，婚姻也好，政治也好，都描写的不错，是一本值得一看的小书。
美中不足的是从佩妮手臂受伤开始，故事的走向就有些俗套了，另外这个结局有些美好到不真实（？），不过毕竟是本童书，也可以接受，总之推荐。
